La Dra. Urrutia estudia los mecanismos moleculares que participan en la regulación hormonal de la función de las células de Sertoli. Asimismo, investiga la relevancia de los carbohidratos de la hormona FSH sobre la regulación de la función de las células de Sertoli en diferentes etapas del desarrollo.
Esta línea de investigación se encuentra dentro del objetivo general del laboratorio Fisiopatología y Clínica del Desarrollo Gonadal que apunta a estudiar los mecanismos que regulan el desarrollo de las gónadas, para comprender la fisiopatología de las anomalías del eje hipotálamo hipófiso gonadal.

Dr. Urrutia studies the molecular mechanisms involved in the hormonal regulation of the Sertoli cell function.
Additionally, she investigates the relevance of the carbohydrates of the hormone FSH on the regulation of the Sertoli cell function at different stages of development.
This research is within the general objective of the Physiopathology and Clinic of Gonadal Development laboratory, which aims to study the gonadal development mechanisms, to understand the pathophysiology of the anomalies of the hypothalamic pituitary gonadal axis.
