La Dra Meroni estudia los mecanismos moleculares que operan en el tubo seminífero para mantener un adecuado metabolismo energético. Adicionalmente, investiga si dichos mecanismos resultan alterados por tóxicos ambientales como el glifosato. Este objetivo de estudio se encuadra dentro del objetivo general del laboratorio de Biología Celular Gonadal que es esclarecer nuevos mecanismos moleculares involucrados en el adecuado funcionamiento del testículo.

Dr. Meroni studies the molecular mechanisms that operate in the seminiferous tubule to maintain an adequate microenvironment for spermatogenesis. Additionally, she investigates whether these mechanisms are altered by environmental toxicants such as glyphosate. This study objective is framed within the general objective of the Gonadal Cell Biology laboratory, which is to clarify new molecular mechanisms involved in the proper functioning of the testis.
