Translational Medicine in HNRG

Genomics, proteomics and metabolomics

CEDIE is the first Center dedicated to pediatric translational medicine, which for more than four decades has been dedicated to the detection and treatment of hormonal problems in children.

In 2016 the Hospital de Niños Dr. Ricardo Gutiérrez (HNRG) inaugurated the Translational Research Facility (TRF) with the aim of articulate high-level biomedical scientific research with hospital care, so that patients can more easily access the advances in the country's biomedical production.

The TRF is composed of a genomics area with equipment of massive paralell sequencing (Next Generation Sequencing) and an area of chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry for research in proteomics and metabolomics.
