The scientific contributions of CEDIE have been pioneering in fields such as sexual development, physiology and pathophysiology of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, puberty, diagnosis and treatment of congenital thyroid diseases; gonadal, thyroidal, adrenal and autonomic nervous system tumors; growth disorders and diabetes. In recent years, with the application of modern concepts of molecular biology and genetics, CEDIE has contributed to the study of numerous endocrine developmental pathologies.
